School canteen staff get training from Dubai Municipality

Dinner ladies are going back to school in Dubai – and this time they’ll be the ones learning!
The Municipality’s Food Control Department yesterday launched a training course for school canteen supervisors.
Open until July 3, the course aims to educate serving staff about the principles of food safety and food control, along with the official guidelines for school canteens.
Officials hope this programme will lay the groundwork for qualifying specialised ‘health supervisors’, dedicated to ensuring food safety in school canteens.
